Okay if i may include something to this discussion.
Our narrow minds haven’t the concept of understanding alternate dimensions whereas there are layers of universes with scrambled events and people on a different plane of existence. If for example this Bridy Murphy existed on a different plane of existence, we would have no way to verify it, and thus would automatically discredit it.
On the other hand, some people who reincarnate do choose our plane of existence in their next life.
So again, how is it that Science could have even developed all of what it has, especially genetic engineering and playing God, and you say that we have the power of a single bacteria? Science will try and put a cause and effect on to everything about the human existence, but what it is overlooking is our ability to form new ideas and create. You can’t put creativity in a box and try to explain it. If you do that, then you’re just you’re just getting more of the same, and you’re not “creating”
“As much control over the universe as a single bacteria.” The world is part of the universe, and we are able to manipulate the environment of planet Earth, which is why I am able to send and resend messages arguing about this topic to you over a man made machine that is constructed out of materials from this planet. If we had no control over anything then how could we go about constructing our enviroment without the us using our brain?
The human race has just about as much control over the universe as a single bacteria has on this galaxy. It may be even less then that. What we laugh as is the notion that we humans are special. We are far from it.
As far as the human spirit idea, if humans have it, then animals such as dogs etc. would have it as well. But I’m sure the religious would not support such an idea.
This is how I think it would work, if “spirits” do exist.

Rather, Science shouldn’t proclaim that Humans have no control , forcing everyone to believe in a state of Nihilism, i.e. that everything is just a series of reactions, and the idea that there is a human spirit is a laugh to them.
Some of the assertions that science points out that they are getting ahead of themselves. Science is so quick to project materialist facts to the world but very reluctantly admits that there are are things that it can’t discover, that there are in fact things that it cannot find out. I believe that it is what science cannot find out that drives it to materialism. I am not saying things shouldn’t be researched but Science shouldn’t give off this overpower belief that we are all robots

I had just bought a cross and put it around my neck for the first time. Instantly my body became paralyzed from my head to my toes and quickly engulfed in this warm, tingling sensation. It was 20-25 seconds of the most peaceful, comforting feeling I had known up until that point.
People who rely solely on science are afraid to take a step onto the ledge.

Eh, the game was great, but the main reason I got is was because of the corruption system. That was horrible. I thought that it would allow you to turn into chaos marines, but it doesn’t. Which sucks, cuz I HATE space marines. To me they are overused so much. I prefer Eldar, Chaos, and IG. Still, the multiplayer’s great. I just don’t like the story.

@matts4u2 Dawn Of War 2: Chaos Rising is an expansion pack for the original game that contains a new playable race; The Chaos Marines, which basically are twisted evil versions of the Space Marines.
